Where the full division set goes wrong

The real obstacle in the 0–12 division set is zero. 0 ÷ 7 = 0, but 7 ÷ 0 has no answer at all, and confusing the two is the commonest error in this range. Sheets here never ask you to divide by zero, and every problem divides exactly, so the answer is always a whole number.

What is 0 divided by 7?
Zero. Nothing split into seven parts is still nothing.
What is 7 divided by 0?
Undefined — there is no number that multiplied by 0 gives 7. Sheets here never ask it.
Do these division sheets have remainders?
No. Every problem is built from a multiplication fact, so every answer is a whole number from 0 to 12.
