The 5 times table, 5 × 0 through 5 × 12. Every problem on the sheet is drawn from that set and nothing outside it.

Choose 20, 50 or 100 problems and a limit of 1, 2 or 5 minutes, then print the sheet with its answer key on page two, or start the timer and type into the same grid. The problems are drawn again every time the page loads, so a second sheet is not a copy of the first. Where 5s goes wrong

Every answer in the 5s ends in 0 or 5: a 0 when the other factor is even, a 5 when it is odd. A clock face is the 5 times table laid out in a circle, so a child who tells time already has half of this sheet. If the last digit is neither 0 nor 5 there is no need to check the arithmetic at all.

Three that come up

Why do all the 5s answers end in 0 or 5?
An even factor gives a 0, an odd factor gives a 5. 5 × 6 = 30, 5 × 7 = 35.
Does telling time help with the 5 times table?
Directly. The minute marks on a clock face are the 5 times table up to 5 × 12.
How many 5s facts are there from 0 to 12?
Thirteen, counting 5 × 0. The sheet draws from all of them unless a repeat is needed to fill the count.
